RELATIONSHIPS:
  • Clementine White: Jack's flatmate, and colleugue at the Fruit Bowl. They met online, after Jack idolised how her life appeared and reached out to her. They generally get along and enjoy taking shopping trips and getting ready together, but their conversations usually create a tense atmosphere and Jack is frustrated by Clem's living habits.
  • Iona Burman: Jack's old best friend from school. Though they'd shared classes for years, they only began talking when they were put in detention together due to Jack's misbeahviour. Jack is distraught by their drifting apart after school, and after seeing Iona again extremely briefly becomes obsessed with the idea of becoming friends again, and thinks often about their friendship.
  • Maxine Skye: Jack has met Maxine once, who accompanied Iona to her visit to the Fruit Bowl. Jack harbours a strong, seething dislike towards her.
  • Nathan Mayer: Jack's younger half-brother. Jack is very protective of him and the two used to get along very well, being each other's escape form family life and expectations. However, she struggles with feelings of resentment towards him due to the difference in attention the two got in their respective upbringings.
  • Kalvin Mayer: Jack's older brother. Jack holds a deep hatred for Kalvin over his behaviour growing up becoming the focus of the family's energy, and for the reputation that was set up for her as she entered the same school as him. She aims to be nothing like him. Despite this, they shared a mutual disdain for their treatment in the family.
  • Dolly: Though they never met, Jack is deeply struck by the life she assumed Dolly had based on her time at the Graham's cottage, and the portion of Dolly's blog she read. Despite knowing it'll never be seen, Jack left a letter addressed to Dolly at the Graham's cottage the day she left.
  • Rhubarb: A pink cat that accompanies Jack throughout her journey to Littlebridge. Jack is very protective of Rhubarb, and thrilled to have her accompany her. She enjoys crocheting collars for rhubarb and talking to her about all her thoughts.
APPEARANCES: Jacqueline's Lonely Apocalypse, Iona's Labyrinth

Jack comes across as a very put together woman, and all her actions are geared towards being percieved as a perfect looking, successful social butterfly who has it all and who can do it all. She loves fashion and keeping up with trends, satiating her sweet tooth, and likes to dance. Valentines day is her favourite holiday, and she loves to incorporate the colour red and heart motifs into everything. Though she doesn’t explore it much anymore, she loves sewing and vinatage designs and patterns.

Her self esteem and sense of identity is cultivated and moulded by the attention she clammers to receive online. She uses this as a replacement for the intimate realtionships she wishes she had. Her obsessiveness and projected limerance onto others - as well as tendancy to be jealous, petty, and prejeduced - causes her relationships to fail, and she has a life long history of struggling to keep close relationships of all kinds.

In Jacqueline’s Lonely Apocalypse, Jack wakes up to find she seemingly the last person on Earth, only accompanied by animals who are pink in colour. She has a very hard time accepting her sitaution, and resorts to desparetly finding expliantions and methods to cope.

After exploring various areas of Sussex and Kent, returning to her Childhood home, and befriending a pink cat who won’t leave her alone that she names Rhubarb, she decides to celebrate her 23rd Birthday just as she intended – by throwing a party at work. Upon her arrival, she finds a note informing her that she is not alone, and that other person is on the opposite side of the country.

Jack spends the next few weeks travelling on foot with Rhubarb. She spends a lot of time reflecting in her journal and talking to Rhubarb about her life in a way she’s never been able to before, and grows to appreciate and think about the world around her. She especially spends a lot of time thinking about Iona, as they had met again after years just hours before everyone disappeared. Jack unfortunately injures herself, and is strangely able to move to shelter and briefly recover before continuing her journey.
